Dr Jacqueline Luff (f)
GP Partner
She joined the practice in 2002 . She graduated from the University of Leeds in 1992 and trained as a GP in Yorkshire . She has lived in the local area since 1997 and has worked in local surgeries. She also worked for a number of years in the Diabetic clinic at the Queens Medical Centre. Dr Luff and her family are keen musicians.
Dr Duncan Gooch (m)
GP Partner
He trained at Nottingham University and joined the practice in 2010. He has particular clinical interests in medical education, joint injections and minor surgery. In addition to his patient facing roles, he also works across Derbyshire in a number of senior leadership positions. Outside of work he is a keen advocate for the local community and can often be seen supporting or coaching the local rugby team.
Dr Ruth Gooch (f)
GP Partner
Dr Ruth Gooch joined the practice in 2014. She grew up in Blackpool, until she moved to study Medicine at the University of Nottingham.
Dr Gooch has a clinical interest in prescribing and medicines safety. She is a GP Prescribing Lead for Derbyshire ICB and also heads up the Erewash PCN Prescribing Team. In addition she works for NHS England as a GP Appraiser.
Outside of work Dr Gooch enjoys spending time with her husband and their sons, watching endless rugby matches and…when time permits…holidays!

He graduated from the University of Nottingham in 2017 and joined the Practice in 2022 after completing his specialist GP training. He is an active member of his local church and enjoys helping at the youth group on Fridays and Sundays, as well as volunteering on summer activity holidays for young people. Other interests include history and chess.

She graduated from the University of Nottingham Medical School in 2017, and then completed GP Training in Derbyshire in 2022. She has a clinical interest in palliative care and reducing health inequalities. In her spare time, she enjoys walking, and can often be found hiking in the Peaks.

She is a RGN/Nurse prescriber and qualified in 2010 in Nottingham and worked within the head and neck surgical unit before leaving in 2015 to pursue practice nursing. She Joined the practice in 2019 with keen interest in Diabetes , women’s health, and other chronic disease management and also completed her nurse prescribing in 2021.

Our midwife provides ante-natal care, looks after expectant mothers who have a normal pregnancy and cares for each mother and baby in the post natal period.

Our midwife is employed by Derby Hospitals Foundation Trust.

We have a very hard working and approachable nursing team who do an excellent job for all of our patients. In addition to basic nursing care they have developed specialist knowledge in a number of areas.
These include Chronic Disease Management; our nurses coordinate and look after the care of all people with conditions such as Asthma, Diabetes, Emphysema, COPD, Heart Disease, Hypertension (high blood pressure), Atrial Fibrillation. Advanced wound care; Venepuncture (blood tests); Immunisations and Vaccinations; Contraception; Cervical Smears; Health checks and advice.
